UX Patterns

Browsing some of the newest Silverlight samples today, I stumbled on a neat UX Pattern Explorer hosted by Infragistics.

One of the most difficult challenges in interface design is to incorporate all of the desired features and functionality of the product, yet retain a familiar and intuitive experience for the end user. Design patterns like tabs, breadcrumbs, context menus, wizards and closable panels are found in almost every design and gracefully tackle a variety of challenges in navigation, data and consistency.

Making use of these tried-an-true design patterns is a surefire way to deliver a functional and familiar interface.
